World Hypertension Day Special: High blood pressure at the age of 25 due to obesity, stress and smok

Bhopal. high blood pressureDue to this, millions of people around the world are becoming victims of untimely death. India is also not untouched by this. The risk of hypertension is continuously increasing in the youth due to irregular routine and carelessness in eating. Under the program of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) of the National Health Mission in the state, from April 2022 to March 2023, one million ten thousand new patients of hypertension have been discovered. While five lakh 60 thousand victims of diabetes have been found. In the state capital Bhopal, 17637 hypertension and 34417 diabetes victims have been found in one year. The number of youth is more in most of such patients. Experts of the capital consider obesity, stress and smoking habits among the youth as the main reason for this. According to psychiatrists, the number of BP patients is also increasing due to increase in stress and depression during the Corona period. There is also a reason that the youth are getting used to watching mobiles overnight. Because of which there is a difference in the routine. Due to hypertension in the patients coming to Government Hamidia, more patients of heart disease are coming out. This is also a major reason in heart failure patients. Earlier, where BP disease was seen at the age of 50, it is now being seen at the age of 25 to 45. This trend is being seen in the last few years. Doctors are advising regular checkups after the age of 30 years. This disease is related to lifestyle. Which can be due to irregular lifestyle, unbalanced diet, obesity, lack of physical labor, lack of sleep, stress, anger, smoking, alcohol consumption etc. Generally, no symptoms are found in the patient of hypertension, so the patient is not aware of it. That's why even a healthy person should get his blood pressure checked regularly. Hamidia's Cardiology Department's Prof.Dr. Ajay Sharma told that in the last few years it is an observation that young hypertension is increasing rapidly.
